2022 kicks off with December jobs numbers! A big miss for the headline at 199k vs 440k expectations, elsewhere the Unemployment rate fell to 3.9% from 4.2% and Earnings rose significantly to 0.6% for December, from 0.4% in November whilst the Participation Rate came in better than expected at 61.9% but remains historically low.
